Hive Five Meadery

We are Mohave County Arizona's first and only Meadery.  Family owned and operated by local native Kingmanites.  Our passion for this ancient and unique beverage drove us to start H5M and produce an excellent product.  At this time we are considered a nano-meadery as we produce less than 10,000 gallons per calendar year.

Mead by definition is:

     An alcoholic drink made of         fermented honey and water.

We're going way beyond those basics and adding enticing and exciting flavors.

There has been an age old argument, which came first, the wine or the mead?!

We source only 100% pure Arizona honey for our mead.  Being the main and most important ingredient, our honey exceeds top quality specifications and is tested for purity.  Honey sugar profiles vary by season and source.  There have been more than 13 types of sugars found in honey, making mead very complex and unlike any other alcoholic beverage.
